February 2024: Total Recalls

In our modern era, every year new models come out for vehicles that are attempting to push the boundaries of what is already done. Different builds for new-age technology is wonderful, especially when you are looking for something sleek and futuristic. However, one thing that a lot of vehicles coming off the assembly line have are recalls - and they have gotten more and more frequent the more advanced the vehicles become.

Now of days, millions of vehicles are being subjected to recalls based on an overwhelming history of problems that could range anywhere from a small scale issue to a long term drama! Ford, Kia, Hyundai, Porche, Mercades-Benz; it does not matter what make of vehicle you have, there is a chance that if you purchased a vehicle in the last ten years you were apart of the unlucky few.

The NHTSA - or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration provides a detailed database of recalls on their website, and by entering your vehicles year, make, and model into the engine you can quickly get access to any details regarding them. Along with this, you can always try to look into your certified dealers online portals and type in your VIN number to check on the specifics for your vehicle.

Just remember, not all of these recalls are on the same level of importance and coverage. When we talk about getting your vehicle fixed, there are chances where the fix out not be free - and that it is always a case by case basis with each vehicle. Some companies are better than others when it comes to getting the fixes, so make sure to speak to your local automotive representative at the dealership for a detailed explanation on pricing and timing.

On top of that, most recalls are given due to safety concerns and for serious work that is required. Prolonging these recalls and not focusing on them can do much more damage on the vehicle's life, and could create more problems down the line. Always take care of the recalls ASAP, that way you know you are keeping your car in the best condition that you can.
